There has been an increasing demand for oil tank monitoring due to the rise in oil prices and the widespread transportation of oil. However, the scarcity of suitable locks that meet the stringent ATEX certification requirements mandated in oil storage and transport environments has presented a significant challenge.

To address this need, Jointech developed the JT802 valve lock, which is the first lock to meet both ATEX and IEC EX certification standards. The development process took two years and involved multiple iterations and refinements, resulting in an intelligent electronic lock designed to enhance the security of oil tanker valves.

The JT802 offers advanced features for intelligent control of valve lock opening and closing operations, supporting various unlocking methods such as Bluetooth, remote Lora master, or a unique physical key. It has a battery life of up to two years and can operate autonomously or in conjunction with a master lock to manage multiple valves concurrently.
